Another year with increased activity and strong results at SDK FREJA Group
PRESS RELEASE
2025/26 was another year marked by significant geopolitical turmoil and the resulting uncertainty and volatility in the shipping and logistics markets, while macroeconomic conditions in most of SDK FREJA’s key markets remained challenging. Despite this, SDK FREJA emerged stronger from the 2025/26 financial year, with revenue of DKK 6.8 billion and operating profit (EBIT) of DKK 274.2 million.
Despite generally challenging market conditions and weak macroeconomic conditions in most key markets, SDK FREJA delivered strong financial and operational results in the 2025/26 financial year, with growth in volumes and activities in both the Shipping Division and the Logistics Division. As a result, the Group generated EBIT of DKK 274.2 million, which was 13.5% higher than in the previous financial year, while revenue of DKK 6.8 billion was 8.2% higher than in the previous financial year.
“The fact that we have once again delivered growth in revenue and EBIT that significantly exceeds both our expectations and last year shows that we have a robust business that can adapt to changing market conditions while maintaining a high level of activity. It underlines that we have a clear direction, skilled employees and that we are a reliable and professional partner for our customers,” says Søren Gran Hansen, Group CEO of SDK FREJA.
Investments to strengthen customer solutions
According to Søren Gran Hansen, SDK FREJA’s ability to once again exceed its own expectations and emerge stronger in a market characterised by uncertainty and changing conditions is due to the Group’s ability to stay close to its customers and make strategic investments in the development of its business areas.
“Our business is built on strong customer relationships and dedicated employees. We continue our investments in capabilities across our business activities as well as in AI and automation to strengthen both our customer solutions and our efficiency, in order to be even better prepared to meet changes in the market and customer requirements,” says Søren Gran Hansen.
In the 2025/26 financial year, an agreement was entered into for the construction of a new logistics centre in Staffanstorp near Malmö. The centre is scheduled to be taken into use on 1 January 2027 and will replace the current logistics centre in Malmö. The investment provides scope for further growth and improved customer solutions, while the new building is being constructed in accordance with the latest environmental and energy standards.
Both divisions deliver strong results in challenging markets
In Logistics, both revenue and earnings were significantly above last year and expectations for 2025/26, as volumes grew faster than the market and efficiency improved.
“We have strong momentum across our key areas, both with existing customers and through winning new customers. This confirms that we deliver solutions that match our customers’ needs. Therefore, we must continue to be close to our customers and invest in delivering additional value-creating customer solutions across our business areas in the future,” says Ulrik Rasmussen, CEO of the Logistics Division.
In Shipping, revenue was significantly above last year and expectations for 2025/26, while earnings were better than expected but slightly below last year.
“We saw growth in activity levels across all business areas, which is satisfactory given the market conditions we have experienced. We are winning new customers and assignments, developing our collaboration with existing customers, and we have also strengthened our position in several important areas so that we can continue delivering high quality customised solutions to our customers,” says Lars Jespersen, CEO of the Shipping Division.
